1. Scope of this policy

This policy explains how the Chrome extension KOLEX Web Importer (hereinafter the “Extension”) accesses, processes, stores, and transmits data when the user saves content from a website into the KOLEX application on the same device.

This policy applies to KOLEX Web Importer and the local connection flow between the Extension and the KOLEX Desktop application. It does not replace the privacy policy of the website the user is visiting or of Google Chrome.

2. The Extension’s sole purpose

The sole purpose of KOLEX Web Importer is to enable users to proactively save links, images, screenshots, annotated content, and screen recordings from the website they are viewing into the KOLEX library on the same device.

The Extension uses only the data necessary to provide the user-facing features described above. The Extension does not process data for advertising, user profiling, credit scoring, data selling, or unrelated market research.

3. When the Extension processes data

The Extension only creates or transfers content into KOLEX when the user proactively performs an action, such as:

The Extension does not automatically save page content, does not record the screen in the background, and does not create browsing history. Screen-recording permission is managed by Chrome and is granted only after a clear confirmation action by the user.
